Fidel (Viva Fidel) Verdin, is a Father, and Visionary Artist serving as Co-Executive Director at TRUE Skool, Milwaukee's Center for Creative Arts and Hip Hop Culture, and is an Adjunct Professor at Alverno College. He is well known for his contributions to Music and Media and exemplary leadership in the realms of Community Development initiatives. Fidel is a recipient of a multitude of awards and was recently recognized by BizTimes in their class of 2023 "Notable BIPOC Executives".
Fidel has received recognition for his many achievements in media as well as community activations including the “Creative Placemaking” award from Groundwork Milwaukee for his urban agricultural work founding the Peace Park and Garden. He is widely known for launching “Summer of Peace” an annual event focused on conflict resolution and youth leadership which also spawned an ongoing “Promote the Positive” messaging campaign and social enterprise that encompasses all of his work to uplift and empower humanity.
Along with his Original Abstract Art, Fidel is a Recording/Performing Artist and award-winning Film Producer. He currently serves on the Music Advisory Board for Milwaukee Area Technical College.
